Join us in the beautiful, private grounds of the Clinton-Baker Pinetum for our series of Forest Friday experiences, and help yourself ease into the weekend with wellness. Immerse in the wonders of the forest and indulge in the curiosities of the season . Let your mind be restored, your body reconnected and your spirits lifted.
This experience will offer yourself or your team the time the time to explore what ‘being’ human really feels like. Often when we have a moment of pause, within nature, we find room to experience ourselves as well as deepening our connection to nature. As part of this Forest Friday experience we will begin to uncover some of the proven and powerful therapeutic benefits that spending time in nature has on our ‘being well’.
About the Experience
You will take a slow gentle walk through the forest and experience the land through a series of sensory ‘invitations’, offered by your guide. In this Forest Friday experience you will have the opportunity to awaken your body’s senses and notice how that feels. These Forest Friday experiences naturally interrupt the usual frantic pace of life and you get a moments pause to notice the stories contained within each other, the land and the seasons.
Our forest therapy experiences take you from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, on a journey where time and destination release their hold. Our minds experience peace and the forest holds our space, often enabling reconnection, restoration and re-balance.
Forest therapy improves our mental, physical and social wellbeing and there is growing scientific evidence to show the positive impact on our physical health health, such as reducing blood pressure, heart rate, depression and anxiety, as well as boosting the immune system, improving cognitive function and creativity.
You need no previous experience or fitness and you have absolutely nothing to lose by trying!
About your Guide
Sam Wright is an accredited life coach (ACC) and certified forest therapy guide.
After working for many years in the corporate industry, Sam set up her own business, Natural Edge Coaching and Forest Therapy. Sam specialises in supporting clients through a period of transition – whether that’s at work, in relationships, or in other aspects of life.
With a BSc in Biological Science, with Zoology, Sam has always been inspired by the natural world and is passionate about demonstrating the scientific benefits of being out in nature. She combines her scientific and coaching experience with her compassionate, empathetic and intuitive approach, and it’s her mission to help people remember their natural connection with themselves and their environment, empowering them to be their own leader of a life of wholeness and fulfilment. With the forest as her partner she believes people will fall back in love with the land and work together to nurture its wellbeing, as it nurtures theirs.
Health and safety
Any outdoor activity entails known and unanticipated risks and although forest therapy is a low-risk activity, you still need to assume the full responsibility of your own well-being and safety.

Please note a minimum of 3 participants are required to guide this experience.
The experience can also be cancelled due to extreme weather.
