Taking things outside

I’m excited to welcome you to a new podcast I recently had the pleasure of being a part of with the Association for Coaching discussing the impact of coaching outdoors in nature!

Have you ever thought about taking some of your one-to-ones outside?

As many of you know I’m passionate about coaching outside in nature with clients, be it in the open countryside or urban city parks. There are so many benefits to be had which I believe add another dimension to any powerful conversation.

On this note, I’m excited to welcome you to a new podcast I recently had the pleasure of being a part of with the Association for Coaching discussing the impact of coaching outdoors in nature! This podcast is a fabulous resource which started at the end of 2020 and has covered a number of exciting themes: Health and Wellbeing, Boosting your Coaching Business, Diversity and Inclusion, Coaching in a Climate Crisis, Technology and Innovation, The Coaching Conscience and lots more and it was an honour to be included as a guest!

If you are interested in hearing more then take this podcast on a walk outside and listen to the lovely Rob Lawrence (Podcast Producer / Coach / Director and most importantly Dad) and I chat with open curiosity around the introduction of nature into a coaching business and the positive impacts it can create.

We had a very natural conversation discussing some of the back-story as to why I decided to focus so much of my work within the outdoors, the ways in which taking work/professional and family conversations outside can easily be incorporated and surprises many with the positive impact it can have.  We blended a little bit of the science as to why this might be happening along with the known intuition that so many of us feel more relaxed, with greater clarity of mind and perspective when we take a break from the desk and alter our landscape. We also included some ways you the listener might try to incorporate more nature connection into your everyday lives.

The podcast also links to some important research within the now heavily researched field of nature connection and the relevance in society today.

This is just a toedrop into such a vast topic that I could have chatted about all day with Rob!
